Food technology is a branch of science in which the food science is applied in manufacturing and preservations of food products. The food technologists study the chemical, physical and microbiological makeup of the food. The food is processed, preserved, packaged and stored according to the specifications by industry and government. The research and development in food technology has resulted into the production of safe and nutritious foods. The food processing industries manufacture a large variety of food products. They include the primary foods like rice and wheat products, oil, sugar and pulses. They are processed to convert into edible form. Food technology courses can be a good career option. There is increasing scope of food technology courses in India.

  • Eligibilty
  • A candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and One Subject out of Mathematics/Biology/Biotechnology Science with minimum 45% marks in aggregate from a recognized Board/ University.
  • Admission Procedure
  • Candidates have to be successful in IUET-2018 (Integral University Entrance Test)/ JEE-Mains/ JEE-Advanced/ State Level Engineering Entrance Exams across India or other Engineering Entrance Examinations conducted by the prominent universities.

Important Note

  • Candidates who have appeared in the Intermediate Examination of the year 2018 and have also applied for admission in any Course of this University should submit the Marks Sheet of the qualifying examination latest by 15th July, 2018.
