The student volunteers along with staff members split into groups and traversed through the village interacting with the community. The residents of the village were made aware of the various aspects of health and hygiene and its importance in preventing infections. The students enquired about the medications generally prescribed to them for common ailments like seasonal Cold and fever. They further emphasized the importance of appropriate use of medicines encouraging the safe, rational and more effective (including cost-effective) use of various medicines, and the possible repercussions of neglecting proper administration of the dose, dosing schedule and duration of therapy.
