Forensic Science Department Conducts Crime Scene Awareness Campaign

The Department of Allied & Healthcare Sciences (Forensic Science), Integral Institute of Allied Health Sciences & Research, Integral University, Lucknow, successfully organized an extension activity titled Basic Aid for Crime Scene Protection” on 07 April 2026 at Dasauli, Kursi Road, Lucknow.

The activity aimed to create awareness about preventing contamination of crime scenes by the public and to impart basic knowledge regarding handling such situations. The initiative contributed towards SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being)and SDG 4 (Quality Education), with an emphasis on the preservation of biological evidence. It also aligned with SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) by promoting awareness among the community.

Students and faculty members actively participated in mock crime scene demonstrations and enactments of basic aid procedures. These activities helped in illustrating the importance of preserving evidence and preventing contamination. Students also engaged with the public, which enhanced their practical exposure and communication skills.

The programme was conducted under the supervision of Prof. (Dr.) Ashfaque Khan, Director, IIAHSR & IINSR, and Mr. Mojahidul Islam, Head of the Department, Allied and Healthcare Sciences. The activity was efficiently managed by Ms. Namrata Singh, Forensic Science In-charge, along with Ms. Ekta Singh Yadav. Student coordination was led by Ms. Khalida Nazeer and Ms. Roomi Parveen, while educational material verification was carried out by Mr. Asim Ameen.

The activity witnessed enthusiastic participation and successfully promoted awareness regarding crime scene protection and the importance of basic aid to prevent contamination.
