The Department of Allied & Healthcare Sciences (Medical Radiological Imaging Sciences), Integral Institute of Allied Health Sciences & Research, Integral University successfully organized a Guest Lecture on 07 April 2026 on the theme “Career Opportunities in Radiology and Imaging Technology.” The programme aimed to provide students with valuable insights into emerging trends, advanced technologies, and diverse career opportunities in the field of radiology and imaging sciences. The event aligned with Sustainable Development Goal SDG 3 (Good Health & Well-being) by promoting awareness regarding modern diagnostic technologies and their role in improving healthcare services. It also supported SDG 4 (Quality Education) through academic enrichment and SDG 8 (Decent Work & Economic Growth) by highlighting professional development and employment opportunities in the healthcare sector.
The programme commenced with a welcome address delivered by Ms. Fauzia Khan, who warmly welcomed the guest speaker, faculty members, and students. The keynote session was conducted by Mr. Ajaydeep Singh, who delivered an informative lecture on the evolving landscape of radiology and imaging technology. The session focused on emerging career avenues in clinical practice, research, healthcare industries, and entrepreneurship within the field of radioimaging.
During the lecture, students were introduced to recent advancements in imaging technologies, including CT Scan, MRI, PET Scan, Interventional Radiology, Teleradiology, and the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in diagnostic imaging. The expert speaker also discussed the future scope of radiology professionals and emphasized the importance of skill development, technological adaptability, and continuous learning for professional success.
The programme witnessed active participation from students, who enthusiastically engaged in interactive discussions and a doubt-clearing session. The interaction enabled students to gain clarity regarding career pathways, required competencies, and challenges associated with the profession. More than 110 students participated in the programme and benefitted from the expert guidance and practical insights shared during the session.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Priya Yadav, followed by the presentation of a memento to the guest speaker as a token of appreciation. The programme was conducted under the guidance and supervision of Prof. (Dr.) Ashfaque Khan, Mr. Mojahidul Islam, and Mr. N.N. Chaturvedi, with active support from faculty members of the department.
