IBM Day 2026: Emerging Technologies & Industry Skills

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Integral University, Lucknow, in collaboration with IBM, successfully organized an event titled “IBM Day – Emerging Technologies & Industry Skills” on 23rd February 2026 at the Central Auditorium, Integral University, Lucknow. The programme was conducted under the IBM Innovation initiative with the objective of enhancing students’ practical knowledge and strengthening industry-oriented technical skills among budding engineers.

The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of nearly 120 students from B.Tech First Year (Second Semester) of the Computer Science & Engineering programme. The programme aimed to provide students with exposure to emerging technologies, current industry trends, and professional competencies required in the rapidly evolving technology sector.

The sessions were delivered by distinguished industry experts including Mr. Aman Bakshi (Growth Initiative Leader), Mr. Robin Tyagi (Strategic Growth Leader), Ms. Naman Saini (Quality Analyst), and Mr. Rohit Pawar (Senior Data Scientist). The experts shared valuable insights into modern technological advancements, industry expectations, and career opportunities in the field of technology and innovation.

The programme commenced with an introductory session highlighting the objectives and significance of IBM Day. During the technical sessions, students were introduced to several cutting-edge domains including:

  • Generative Artificial Intelligence
  • Artificial Intelligence Concepts
  • DevOps Practices and Tools
  • Cybersecurity Fundamentals
  • Industry-Relevant Technical Skills

The sessions were highly interactive and application-oriented, enabling students to understand the practical implementation of these technologies in real-world industrial environments. The experts also emphasized the importance of continuous learning and upskilling to remain competitive in the modern technological landscape.

To encourage active participation and assess students’ understanding, quizzes, interactive activities, and project presentation sessions were also conducted. These activities created a dynamic learning atmosphere and motivated students to engage enthusiastically throughout the programme. Prize distribution was organized to appreciate students who performed exceptionally well during the quizzes and interactive sessions.

The event provided an excellent platform for students to interact directly with industry professionals, gain exposure to practical applications of emerging technologies, and explore future career opportunities in the technology sector. Such industry-academia collaborative initiatives play a significant role in bridging the gap between academic learning and industrial requirements.

The successful organization of the programme was made possible through the dedicated efforts of IBM SMEs Mr. Abhishek Pandey, Mr. Gopi Krishan, Mr. Keshav Singh, and Mr. Sunil Singh under the guidance of Dr. Shish Ahmad, Head of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, and Dr. Halima Sadia, Associate Professor & Programme Coordinator, Department of Computer Science & Engineering.

The event concluded successfully with active participation from students and faculty members. The Department of Computer Science & Engineering and IBM reaffirmed their commitment to organizing more such industry-oriented programmes in the future to promote innovation, technical excellence, and professional development among students.
