The Office of the Dean, Students’ Welfare, Integral University in collaboration with Bajaj Auto through its motorcycle brand KTM and STW Global, successfully organized a Safe Riding and Road Safety Awareness Program on 28th January 2026 as part of Road Safety Month. The programme aimed to promote responsible driving behaviour, safe riding practices, and road safety awareness among students and road users.
The event was conducted at the Bus Parking Area adjacent to the University Sports Ground, Main Campus, Phase-I, from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM. The initiative focused on sensitizing youth towards traffic safety regulations, defensive riding skills, and accident prevention measures. The programme emphasized the importance of creating a strong culture of responsible and safety-conscious driving among young road users.
The programme commenced with an inaugural address by Prof. Monowar Alam Khalid, Dean, Students’ Welfare, who highlighted the significance of traffic rules, mandatory and cautionary road signs, helmet usage, and safe riding behaviour. He emphasized the important role of educational institutions in developing responsible citizens and socially aware drivers.

Certified trainers from KTM Bikes conducted informative sessions and live demonstrations on defensive riding techniques, proper riding posture, emergency handling skills, and correct helmet usage. Participants were also provided with hands-on riding experience and practical demonstrations, significantly enhancing their understanding of safe riding practices and road discipline.
Special emphasis was laid on creating awareness regarding the dangers of wrong-way driving, overspeeding, and non-use of helmets and seatbelts. The practical sessions enabled participants to understand the real-life importance of road safety measures and responsible riding behaviour.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. Mohd Sadat under the aegis of the Road Safety Club, Integral University. A total of 96 participants actively attended the training sessions, while the event reached more than 500 students, faculty members, and onlookers across the campus.
The event concluded with the distribution of certificates to participants by Prof. Monowar Alam Khalid. The programme proved highly impactful in promoting road safety awareness, riding skill enhancement, accident prevention, and responsible citizenship among youth.
The initiative also aligned with important Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) including SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), reaffirming the University’s commitment towards building a safer, informed, and socially responsible society.
