*On the Second day of the National Conference on Education and Development Empowering and Uplifting the Underprivileged many intellectuals put forward their views and exchanged ideas.*

The second day of the jointly organized two days National Conference on Education and Development Empowering and Uplifting the Underprivileged by Integral University, Lucknow and AEEDU was held at Integral University on 30th April 2023.

In the first session of the day was entitled *Educational Institutions to attain Excellence*. The panelists in this session were the former Vice Chancellor, University of Rajasthan, Dr. Furqan Qamar, Pro Chancellor, Integral University, Dr. Syed Nadeem Akhtar, President & MD, CMS, Dr. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon, Chairperson, Maulana Azad University, Jodhpur, Mr. Mohammad Atiq and President, Anjuman-e-islam, Maharashtra, Dr. Zahir Ishaq Qazi.

Amongst the august audience there were Gen. Zameer Uddin Shah, Founder and Chancellor of Integral University, Prof Syed Waseem Akhtar, Dr. Najeeb Jung, Dr. S.Y Qureshi, Dr. K. Rehman, Shahid Siddiqui, Dr. P A Inamdar, Prof. Amitabh Kundu along with the dignitaries from different spheres of the society related to academics, literature, politics and journalism and representatives of educational institutes also participated.
Dr. Furqan Qamar, in his opening remark expressed his views saying that those who say that new institutions, colleges and schools are not required have to focus on the data’s and he further added it is very much required to strengthen the existing institutes but it is all the more required that new quality schools and Universities are to be set up to meet the challenging demand of population and educating the mass as a whole.
Expressing his dynamic, ambitious and free thinking, Pro Chancellor, Integral University, Dr. Syed Nadeem Akhtar said that to maintain the standard and importance of education one cannot deny the infrastructure required but he said that he strongly feels that students/parents select those institutes where standard of education is good, therefore it is important to impart Quality Education and for which it is very much required to train the existing faculty and upgrade them in their teaching methods as well as enhance their thinking skills. He quoted various relevant examples and further emphasized on the importance and significance of quality education.
Dr. Geeta discussed on the standard of government and private schools whereas Dr. Zahir Ishaq and Mohd Atiq also expressed their valuable views on leveraging the quality of education.
The session was followed by the question round being asked by the audience to the panelists. The session ended with token of gratitude to all the members of the panelists.
