Nawazish is an initiative by Department of Computer Application for helping orphans and old age homes of Lucknow city. The first activity was done during Fiesta 2015 on 2nd & 3rd November in which donation of clothes was done at University level.
This Fiesta 2017 we had raised funds for one of the Free Women Old Age Home (APNA GHAR) under Venus Vikas Sansthan. Lots of clothes were donated and distributed to different orphanages and old age homes. And the funds that were raised by our team helped the Chairperson of Old Age home Dr. Nirmala to install an inverter at APNA GHAR. Student coordinators of BCA: Zaheeb Anwar Shamsi, Vipul Kumar, Shivangi Gupta, Shivam, Syed Saud Akhtar, Zoya Khan, Upkar Chaurasia, Tanmoy Mazumdar, Owais Aftab, Aman Saxena, Adnan Ahmad, Deepchandra Yadav, Saumya Gupta, Abdul Aziz, Nehad Azim(B.Tech Civil), Areeb Shamsi(Amity University, Rajasthan) and many volunteers worked together for the successful completion of whole campaign under the guidance of Faculty Coordinator Mrs. Nashra Javed.
Our team also visited APNA GHAR on 18th March 2017. There we had spent quality time with all the old women, and also discussed about their issues, requirements and needs. It was a nice session as they all felt nice to see young generation reaching out to people like them. Dr. Nirmala was very thankful by the effort of Integral University staff and students. She has awarded the student coordinators with a letter of appreciation and letter of thanks for the staff who were involved in the donation activity. They were inspired by the dedication and generosity of donors who answer the call to give again and again and they are hoping for a continuing partnership with us.
