Nukkad Natak on Plastic Pollution Awareness

As part of its commitment to environmental sustainability and community engagement, the Department of Anatomy, Integral Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (IIMSR), Integral University, organized a Nukkad Natak (Street Play) on Plastic Pollution Awareness on 25 June 2026 in the Dissection Hall, Department of Anatomy. The programme was conducted as a Public Awareness and Community Outreach Activity under NAAC Criterion VII.

The event was organized under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Abeer Zubair Khan, Head, Department of Anatomy, and was coordinated by Dr. Mohd. Javed Ali Khan, with the active support of the faculty members of the Department of Anatomy.

Through an engaging and thought-provoking street play, students highlighted the harmful effects of plastic pollution on human health and the environment. The performance emphasized the importance of reducing single-use plastics, responsible plastic waste management, recycling, and the adoption of eco-friendly practices in everyday life.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members, fostering environmental awareness and inspiring participants to adopt sustainable practices for the conservation of natural resources. The initiative also reinforced the University's commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and SDG 13 (Climate Action).

The programme concluded with a collective pledge by participants to minimize plastic usage and actively contribute towards building a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future.
