The Cultural and Literary Society, Faculty of Law, Integral University, Lucknow on the occasion of the Birth Anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar i.e., on April 13, 2023, organised Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Memorial Lecture (Online) on Discrimination and Justice: Beyond Affirmative Action and the keynote speaker for the event was Ms Kamini Vishwakarma, Assistant Professor, Department of Law, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University.
Dr. Ambedkar was a multi-faceted and multi-dimensional personality. He was an eminent educationist, a great economist, an able administrator and a radical social and political thinker of his time. He was a versatile personality who wrote on such diverse subjects as anthropology, sociology, economics, philosophy, religion, law, history and politics. He is also known as the Father of the Indian Constitution.
Ms Kamini Vishwakarma delivered a very informative lecture. She talked at length about the role played by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar in eliminating discrimination in education, ensuring equality of opportunity and bringing justice to the people of Indian society who were the victims of the evil social practices like untouchability.
