The Ministry of Education National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) celebrates Ganga Utsav every year to mark the anniversary of the announcement of River Ganga as the 'National River i.e. 4th November. "Ganga Utsav 2021 — The River Festival" will be celebrating not just River Ganga but all the rivers across the country. The celebrations this year will be part of the ongoing celebrations for 75 years of Independence and Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.

This year, the aim will be to take Ganga Utsav 2021 to the various river basins in India and promote the celebration of 'Nadi Utsav' (River Festival) which was highlighted by Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi on the occasion of the World River Day on 26th September 2021, In order to connect with the traditions which are associated with rivers for centuries in our country.

Ganga Utsav Activities Planned In 150 Districts Across the Country as part of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'. In series The Department of Computer Science and Engineering Integral University is celebrating 75th Year of Independence as "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" and organizing a Painting competition on the theme "Celebrating the Rivers of India" on 23rd December 2021. Since Holy Ganga flows through major portions of Uttar Pradesh, students have presented the Religious, Cultural and Ecological importance of "Ganga River” through their paintings.

There were 30 participants in this event. Students got 1st, 2nd and Third prizes. Participation certificate provided to all the Participants. Event was successfully completed by Dr.Akheela Khanum , Head Computer Science & Engineering and Dr. Sheeba Praveen, Assistant professor Department of CSE.
