The Department of Community Medicine, Integral Institute of Medical Sciences and Research participated in, “Pulse Polio Immunization" on 25-09-2017 at Urban Health Training Centre(UHTC) Sarvodaya Nagar, Lucknow in collaboration with "BMC Indranagar , Lucknow”.
The Pulse Polio initiative was started with objective or achieving 100 percent coverage of oral polio vaccine. WHO on 24th February 2012 removed India from the list of countries with active endemic wild polio virus transmission. 92 children below 5 years of age were vaccinated with oral polio vaccine at the center.
