On the occasion of World Pharmacist Day, a seminar was organized by Faculty of Pharmacy Integral University in collaboration with Department of Chemistry on 26th September 2016. The theme of the Seminar was Pharmacist: caring for you. The event was enlightened by the gracious presence of Prof. S. W Akhtar Honourable Vice Chancellor, Integral University. Lucknow, Chief guest Padma Shri Prof. Pramod Tandon, CEO, Biotech Park Lucknow & Ex. Vice Chancellor, North Easter Hill University. Shillong. Our Guest of Honour was Mr. K. K. Sachan, Registrar, State Pharmacy Council Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow. The inaugural session stated with the bouquet presentation by the welcome address given by Prof. (Dr.) H. H. Siddiqui, Hony. Dean, faculty of Pharmacy. Chief guest Prof. Pramod Tandon, embraced the event by his motivational speech on the role of Pharmacist in health care system. While Guest of honour Mr. K. K. Sachan discussed the current scenario of pharmacy profession. The session ended with the vote of thanks by Organizing Secretary and head Faculty of Pharmacy, Dr. Tarique M Ansari.
The scientific session started with the lecture by Dr. Kausar Usman, Prof. Dept. of medicine, KGMU, Lucknow on the topic "Diabetes-An Overview" followed lecture of Dr. Neeraj Sinha, CBMR, SGPGI, Lucknow on "NMR Spectroscopy & its biological Applications"
After the lunch break cultural program was organized in which two skits were presented by Pharmacy students based on "Dengue fever and its awareness" and Corruption in Basic education in India". The program was ended with the valedictory note by Prof. T. Usmani, Pro Vice.
