“To achieve great things, two things are needed a plan and not quite enough time."
Here's to a workshop designed on Stress Management on 28th November by Faculty of Education which was organized for a one-day Capacity Building Workshop on "Stress Management" under the aegis of United Nations Academic Impact Principle-4. The principle-4 was "A commitment to the opportunity for every interested individual to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary for the pursuit of Higher Education". The workshop was a blend of a theoretical framework as well as hands-on activities to manage "Stress". The resource person for the workshop was Dr. Parul Prasad, Assistant Professor, Career Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital, Lucknow. The workshop was absolutely amazing and covered all the practical aspects of stress management. We learned how to calculate our own stress levels explored different techniques to deal with stress, and most importantly, discovered how to cope with stress on an individual level.
During the session, all participants engaged in the practice of Progressive Muscle Relaxation Techniques. The process commenced by deliberately tensing and subsequently relaxing the muscles, beginning with the toes and gradually ascending to the neck and head. This was conducted in a serene environment, devoid of any interruptions. The primary emphasis was on the gradual tension and subsequent release of each muscle group. Additionally, participants incorporated a Breathing Exercise, wherein participants familiarised themselves with the calming effects of slow inhalation and exhalation while focusing on the breath. It was truly a remarkable experience!
To sum up, it's to realize that the greatest weapon against stress is our ability to choose one thought over another!
