The basic objectives of the conference are to exchange new ideas in entrepreneurship and leadership field and promote future collaboration for innovative value – base leadership and entrepreneurship development. Prof.S.Wasim Akhtar, Hon’ble Chancellor, Integral University has presided over the inaugural function on 15th November 2019 in the university auditorium. The Chief Guest of the inaugural function of conference was Prof. Pawan K.Singh, Director, MDI, Gurgaon. The guest of honours were Mr. P.K. Lahiri, Ex-Revenue Secretary, Government of India and former chairman IIT Dhanbad, Prof. Aqil Ahmad, Vice Chancellor, Integral University and Prof. A.M. Agarwal, Pro Vice Chancellor , GLA University,Mathura . The conference begin with the lightning of lamp by the dignitaries followed by bouquet presentations. Prof. M Ashraf Rizvi, the Conference Chair has delivered the welcome address in which he highlighted the conference theme and sub-themes also emphasized the role of a leader and the traits that make a leader. He quoted the examples of Bill Gates & K. Narayanan and also quoted that ‘Leader can bring change by giving’. The session continued with theme initiation by Prof. A K Saxena, who talked about leadership qualities & said a leader and an entrepreneur are the two sides of a same coin. After his talk the proceedings book of the previous conference on ‘Economic Reforms and its impact on Indian Economy’ has been released followed by the release of current conference souvenir. Prof. P. K. Lahiri graced the occasion and talked about qualities of a good leader. He said the mantra of leadership is taking responsibility & real leaders are those who take the responsibility of failure. Prof. Aqil Ahmad while talking about the leadership qualities quoted one saying of Ratan Tata “If you want to walk fast, walk alone and if you want to walk far, walk together.’ Prof. A. M. Agarwal said that education is the only field which is most regulated and experimented. Prof. Pawan K. Singh talked about sources of wisdom i.e. Public & Private. He also said managers get birth once but leaders get birth twice. Prof. S. W. Akhtar the said that India is playing a major role of leadership in economic development specially in rural areas. He also said that India has so many natural resources which can enable us to lead the world. All the dignitaries were facilitated with conference memento. The inaugural session was concluded with vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Asma Farooque.

Plenary Session-1 :

A plenary session was organized which consist seven panelist. Mr. P.K. Lahiri, delivered the plenary lecture on the topic “Ethical Dilemmas in Administrative Decision Making”. In his talk he gave an idea of not to postpone any decision & he also quoted that ‘Taking no decision, is also a decision’. He also discussed about the Mirror test & Mama Test. Prof. A.M. Agarwal, gave a presentation on “Academic Leadership is not a Cakewalk”, he emphasized on finance management, talent management & teaching learning process. Prof Basheer A. Khan talked on his own coinage on 3 D’s of leadership & entrepreneurship i.e. Dreaming, Doing, and Delivery. He also told the formula of Success which is sum of idea + initiative + efforts + luck. At the end of the plenary session Prof. B.A. Iqbal, moderator, as a concluding remark said that don’t look bad with regret, see good with hope.

Two technical sessions were also organized.

Technical Session-1

In this technical session 34 papers were received and most of them were presented. Themes of 1st technical session are: Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Technology and Entrepreneurial Development and Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Inclusive Growth which was chaired by Prof. Basheer A. Khan, Prof. Jawed Ali and the session rapporteurs were Dr. Divya Panjwani and Dr. Iffat Zareen. In this session some good presentations and topics were of Mr. Samarth Pande presented the paper on “Entrepreneurial India: significant role of entrepreneurship education and institutional support” Mr. Tanveer Khan also presented a good case study on American Kidz Pre-school franchising business. Mr. Abhishek Paney spoke about recession in NBFCs with special reference to ILDFs crisis. Mr. Farukh Nadeem spoke on study of financial literacy initiatives in India: opportunities and challenges. Prof. Mala Tandon from Amity University presented on value - based leadership for quality and sustainability.

Technical Session-2

In this Technical Session 30 papers were received and most of them were presented. The themes of this session are: Entrepreneurship and Innovation, SMEs, Role of Economics in SMEs and Startups, and Interdisciplinary. The session is chaired by Prof. Badar A. Iqbal and Prof. A. K. Dubey and the session rapporteurs were Dr. Zubair Khan, and Dr. Adeel Maqbool. In this session some good presentations were of Ms. Aanchal Nigam whose topic was FinTech Entrepreneurs-A Study on Innovative Trends, Issues and Challenges from Indian Perspective. She talked about the FinTech services in Indian Market which consist of peer to peer lending, retail investment services, equity funding services etc. Another paper presented by Mr. Navneet Shukla on “Role of SMEs in Indian Economic Development” he emphasized on new ventures established by young entrepreneurs in rural areas. Mr. Swapnil Vaish presented on “Financial Support for New Venture Creation” Ms. Neha Nazneen Siddiqui presented on “Study of Employee Relation In Indigo Airline” and talked about work life balance in Airlines Industry.

Plenary Session-2:

A plenary session was organized on 16th November at 10:00 o’clock consist six panelist. Mr. D. V. Shastry, Executive Director, GAIL India Ltd. has given opening remark. He talked about Mantras of Leadership and said success comes from consistent and persistent efforts. Brigadier Syed Ahmad Ali, Ex- Pro Vice-Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University his topic was” Developing the Leader in You” He said there are three types of age i.e. biological, chronological and psychological. Mr. Mahesh Gupta, Founder and Chairman, Kent RO Systems Ltd. talked on “Success Mantras for Business” He said one cannot judge himself , people will judge him. Session Chairs and Moderators were Prof. M Ashraf Rizvi & Prof. Basheer Ahmad, Prof. Badar A. Iqbal and Prof A.K. Saxena. Prof Rizvi talked about Mantras of Happiness and explained proactive theory i.e. be responsive not reactive. Prof. B.A. Iqbal talked about financial inclusion and quoted Finance is marrow of bones, blood in veins, and spirit of trade. Prof. Basheer A. Khan talked about 4 new D’s of India by Mr. Narendra Modi i.e. democracy, demand, demography and decision maker. He also discusses F2 = Fix the Frustration.

Valedictory Session

The valedictory session was held on 16th November in the Central Auditorium. Mr. Alok Ranjan , Ex Chief Secretary, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh was the chief guest of this session. Mr. Ranjan talked about different types of leaderships and said emotional intelligence and self revolution is more important in a good leader. Prof. Ashraf Rizvi, the conference chair, has given closing remarks and asked the audience what is your take away? He said my take away is humbleness, and purpose in life. At the end Dr. Shahid Mazhar, convener of the conference proposed vote of thanks.
