Department of Environmental Science under the aegis of Human Resource Development Center organizes PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM 2025

The Department of Environmental Science, under the aegis of Human Resource Development Center (HRDC), is going to organize a Professional Development Program (PDP) entitled Modelling and Monitoring Techniques: Ecology, Environment and Pollution from 25th August to 6th September 2025 in online mode.

The Professional Development Program (PDP) will focus on the latest trends and techniques in environmental monitoring, enabling faculty members to bring innovative practices into their curriculum and research. Environmental Ecology, Biodiversity and pollution monitoring are complex tasks that require an in-depth understanding of various tools, techniques, and methodologies. Traditional monitoring approaches are often insufficient for tracking large-scale environmental changes or the impacts of pollution. Therefore, there is a need for faculty members to be familiar with cutting-edge technologies, such as remote sensing, machine learning, biodiversity and pollution monitoring/modelling techniques which can provide more accurate, efficient, and scalable solutions. This program will equip participants with these skills and enhance their ability to contribute to both academic and applied environmental research. The primary SDG mapped with this program is SDG 13 (Climate Action), since it is interdisciplinary therefore there are multiple SDGs to which is it linked (SDG 6, 11, 12, 14, and 15).

We encourage working professionals, NGOs, consultancies, academicians, research scholars to join this program.
