The Study in India program is a flagship project of the Government of India, launched in collaboration with the MoE, MEA, and MCI While India is a popular destination for its multicultural society, the ever-increasing number of intakes since its launch has allowed the program to further its global identity in the international education realm.
With India ranked as the second-largest higher education system, home to 45,000 colleges, and 950 universities, Study in India was put together to encourage the global student community to experience quality academic learning from premier NAAC and NIRF accredited institutions in India.
The Study in India program was integrated by EdCIL (India) Limited, a mini-Ratna Category-I CPSE company based in India in April 2018. The Study in India program receives applications from across the following regions - SAARC, Africa, South East Asia, Central Asia, and the Middle-East.
The Study in India interface is a prime intermediary for students to explore, connect, and apply to various top-ranked institutions in the country. The program is currently offering approximately 55,000 seats with more than 30000 fee waivers and 2,000 scholarships, with each scholarship valued at INR 250,000.

The Indian Scholastic Assessment or Ind-SAT is 'PRAGATII' - Performance Rating of Applicants through Global Aptitude Test for Indian Institutes. It is an online test for students seeking scholarships with Study in India (SII). This exam is to gauge the capability of students applying to study in India. The PRAGATII scores will serve as a criterion to shortlist the meritorious students for the allocation of scholarships. The medium of the paper would be English.
