Inauguration of Bosch at Integral University Lucknow: Strengthening Academic-Industry Collaboration

Inauguration of Bosch- Integral Collaboration Centre

BOSCH Group (India) and Integral University have joined hands under the aegis of Industry Academia Collaboration for Skill Development & Enhancing Employability of Youth in India. A Bosch – Integral Collaboration Centre has been established at Integral University. This is an exclusive centre in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

The Honorable Chancellor, Integral University Prof. S.W. Akhtar inaugurated the Collaboration Centre on 8th February 2021. Dr. Syed Nadeem Akhtar, Pro Chancellor, Prof. Aqil Ahmad - Vice Chancellor (Acting) and senior officials of the University graced the occasion. Mr. Rohit Gupta representative from BOSCH India was also present on the occasion.


Dr. Nilanjan Mukherji, Director CCG&D introduced the functioning of the center to the present dignitaries. He elaborated on the 5 main focus areas of this collaboration. Those were:

  • Skill Development of Youth- Employability & Entrepreneurship for Universities / College students and Skilling of Less-educated Youth.
  • Trainers Capacity Building- Vocational, Soft Skills Trainers and Technical Trainers.
  • Developing Industry-ready Social Service Professionals - Internships, Courses on Industry-oriented CSR, Social Entrepreneurship, Social Fellowship and Research Paper Competitions (Faculty/Students).
  • Capacity Building of Non-profit Sector (NGOs)
  • MSME Capacity Building- Quality and Productivity Improvement Training.


BOSCH has supported the center with all the required equipment, technology and training modules. IACL (Industry-Academia collaboration Lead) have been nominated by the University and trained by BOSCH. They will act as a bridge between the University and the BOSCH team to coordinate the activities of the center. IACL will also help and guide other Institutions in the region in this regard.

Initially the focus of this center will be on the Skill Development of Youth -University/college students – Employability & Entrepreneurship. Bosch will also support in terms of designing the course, delivering the course material and training of the trainers. Initially due to the pandemic, online delivery mode will be followed.

The Honorable Chancellor formally declared the center open. He emphasized on the increasing need & importance of Industry Academia Collaborations for Skill Development and employability. He further said Integral University shall always take the lead in such future ready programs.

Dr. Syed Nadeem Akhtar - Pro Chancellor called upon all academic departments to make optimum use of this facility for holistic skill development programs. While appreciating the efforts of Team CCG&D in the area of Industry Academia Collaboration, he wished all success to the Bosch - Integral Collaboration Centre.
