Integral University signs MOUs with ATARI Kanpur and Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Unnao to give Agricultural studies a boost.

Agriculture is and has always been at the center of human civilization since civilization began – and it remains at the heart of many of the most pressing issues for modern societies .The government along with the Universities, powered by the young minds, are ready to bring in the innovation through study and research.

Sharing a common desire to explore, extend and strengthen the functional relationship, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Integral University (IU), Lucknow and Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute (ATARI), Kanpur in order to share the facilities and expertise available in each other’s institution.

Agriculture is the primary source of livelihood for about 58 percent of India’s population and is undoubtedly the biggest sector in India.Thus the responsibility to enrich and maximize it’s potential is heavily levied on the agricultural studies. Integral Institute of Agricultural Science & Technology (IIAST), is working towards developing human resources and generates appropriate, efficient & effective technology for sustainable growth in agriculture and allied fields ensuing enhanced food & nutrition security, income generation and environmental safety. The first batch of the graduates from IIAST has passed this year with flying colors aiming to implement their goals and achieve enormous success.


With the same intent to support and glorify Agricultural studies and research between Integral Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology (IIAST), Lucknow and Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Unnao by sharing the facilities and expertise available in each other’s institution signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

IIAST, Integral University, Lucknow will provide registration facilities for Ph.D Degree in Agricultural Engineering/ Seed Technology/ Plant Breeding / Plant Pathology/ Plant Physiology/Entomology/Agronomy/ Horticulture /Soil Science/ Agricultural Extension/ Agricultural Microbiology/ Agricultural Biochemistry/Agricultural Biotechnology/ Agribusiness Management/ Agri-Informatics and allied Subjects to KVK, Unnao sponsored candidates with M.Sc./M.Tech degree in appropriate subject. While KVK, Unnao will provide short term training to students and faculty members of the IIAST, Lucknow in their areas of specialization.

The success stories from U.P, Maharashtra, and Punjab are heartening where agriculture students have taken up farming after completing their study in Agriculture, by using proper seeds, machinery and agro management techniques to surpass past production and revenues” said Dr. Haris Siddiqui, Director, IIAST.
