On the occasion of World Environment Day 2021, Department of Civil Engineering, Integral University, Lucknow had organized Enviro Olympiad 2.0; a National level online quiz on the topic 'Environmental Restoration' on June 5, 2021, at 4:00 pm.
According to the United Nations, "Ecosystem restoration means preventing, halting and reversing this damage to go from exploiting nature to healing it", Thus, to inculcate knowledge and to break the monotony due to COVID-19 lockdown a national level quiz was organized and opened for all age groups and was free of charge. It consisted of multiple-choice questions that tested participants’ knowledge, application and analytical skills; and simultaneously spread awareness on various topics related to the environment.

Major Highlights :

• Total Participant: 2609 from 8 countries and 24 states of India.
• Participants ranged from School Students, Under-Graduates, Post-Graduates, Academicians, Engineers, Medical Professionals & common man.
• Students from 97 Schools and 242 Institutes participated in the quiz.

Students from many renowned institutions like SGPGI Lucknow, IIT Kanpur, IIT-BHU, Jamia Millia Islamia University, Aligarh Muslim University, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Central University, TERI School of Advanced Studies, Central University of Haryana, Central University of Jharkhand, Chandigarh University, CSIR-IHBT, CIPET, Burdwan University, UPES Dehradun, Delhi University, Mumbai University, CSIR-NEERI, SPA Delhi and many more in the row have Participated in the Quiz.

Maximum participation has been observed from home state Uttar Pradesh (2297), followed by Bihar (67), Karnataka (31) etc. Many International Participants have also taken part in the quiz from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Island in Tanzania, Pakistan, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Sudan and the United Kingdom made this event an International one.

This Olympiad was successfully managed by organizing secretaries Dr. Neha Mumtaz, Assistant Professor and Mr. Tabish Izhar, Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering.
