Fiesta 2K18: Embracing Cultural Diversity at Integral University Lucknow

The magnificent FIESTA, the annual college fest of Integral University was a two day carnival to be cherished for a long time.




The dynamic presence of honorable Deputy Chief Minister of U.P, Mr. Dinesh Sharma, the Chief Guest, Mr.Pravir Kumar(IAS), Chairman, Board of Revenue,Govt. of Uttar Pradesh , Dean Students Welfare, Prof. M.A Khalid and our Honorable Chancellor Dr. S.W. Akhtar, gave a flying start to the event with a pool of students present at Integral lawns.
The first day began with the dignitaries addressing the students and sharing their experiences, making way to an evening electrified by the student Rock band performances and later a completely mesmerizing night by the renowned Shayars at the All India Mushaira conducted at the Integral lawns.

All India Mushaira -It was an evening to remember as the couplets “sher” written by the poets touched the hearts and delighted everyone present. The continuous claps and applaud by the crowd got the University campus buzzing with the flame of Urdu and lukhnawi culture held high. The Mushaira got the practical ,romantic and emotional nuances of thought and feeling amongst all . Some very aesthetic lines said by the esteemed Munnawar Rana who graced the event were “Jisne Yaseen Ko Saaye Se Alag Rakhan Hai,Noor Ko Usne Andhere Se Alag Rakha Hai”. Janaab Manzar Bhopali’s lines “Betiyo ke bhi liye haath uthaayo manzar, sirf Allah se bête nahi maanga karte. Dr Mahtab Alam, Dr Nirmal Darshan were also present.

Day 2 – Opened up with the students at their creative best. The students dressed up in their best attires they donned their creative hats and ruled the entire day with exuberating energy. The day started with a bang with power packed performances of Nukkad Natak. The Robot’s race was a major highlight of the day. The Robots racing on a track of 30m length with hurdles, including see-saws, rollers and steep U-turns were all designed and created by Integralites. Mohd. Anas Khan’s Robo wheelers were the fastest among all. With the crowd screaming for more, it was followed up by the Robo War, the ground set up for a battle of self designed Robots. Robots wrestled with each other until one of the opponents was off the ground amidst glued spectators.

Speed cubing reloaded- Contestants were whizzed to solve Rubik’s cube in 2 minutes. The fastest students progressed to round 2. In round 2 participants were required to note down their fastest time of solving cube in 10 minutes. Ali Raza Kazmi solved it in just 52 secs .

Startup 50- An interesting event awakened the entrepreneur among the students. In this event the students were required to start from a minimum amount of 50rs and then earn profit out of it by selling products.

Andaz-e –awadh- This was certainly the most awaited of all the events .In this event of style and grace students walked the ramp and presented their modeling skills. This year’s theme was Bride And Groom. Along with this the students were also tested on their intellectual skills by general knowledge questions.

Treasure hunt- in this event there were 4 rounds. In first round students had to decode and find a QR code. By scanning the code.

Baitbaazi- is “antakshari” of Urdu poetry. It is a verbal game that brings out and enhances the vocabulary of students. One amusing shayari by a student Adil Ata Azmi was,”Abhi iss taraf na nigah kar mai gazal ki palke sawaar loon,mera lafz lafz ho ayena aur tujhe aine mien utar loon”.

Solo singing-Our music sense was elevated with some melodious voices and songs. The crowd was enthralled by the contestants.

Debate Competition-Students engaged in a captivating debate session to prove the might of their word.

Floor art-Organized by Architectural dept., students presented their artistic skills by making the floor their canvas. With also some interesting 3d designs.

Kite designing-In this the students displayed their creative talents by designing a kite and then engaged in a kite flying challenge.

Naked Face- A very fascinating technical event involving different teams who compete with each other in four different levels including a puzzled picture clue, a code in different languages to solve and pictorial clue with bombs to diffuse and the final team to complete this all wins this challenge.

The day had begun with the passion and adrenaline rush of the students and concluded with the presence of the Guest of Honour Professor D.C. Thapar and other top dignitaries who attended the Valedictory Ceremony to bless the students.
