Celebrating Academic Milestones: XIII Convocation at Integral University Lucknow

XIII Convocation

“Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself.”

Convocation is a significant public event in which the university recognises its graduates' achievements. Convocation is a celebration of their lives at Integral University, as well as an opportunity to share their significant achievement with faculty, peers, family, and friends.

The XIII Integral University Convocation was held on November 29th, 2021, on the University's lawns, with a full house of students and faculty dressed in their traditional robes.

The commemoration was set in motion by the very melodious University Tarana, which cherished everyone's hearts on a cool sunny November morning. Prof. Javed Musarrat, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Integral University announced the results of the academic session, citing Integral University's history of academic and social excellence. He claimed that Integral University has achieved phenomenal growth in the past few years. It is one of the top-most universities which provide higher education and mutual tolerance scholarship. Following, Prof. S. W. Akhtar, Chancellor and Founder of the University, declared the convocation opens. Dr. Rajendra Singh Paroda, Padma Bhushan and Chairman of TAAS, New Delhi was the Chief Guest of the event and delivered the Convocation address.

Mr. R.S. Paroda congratulated the management for naming Integral University because it symbolizes the integration of society in India.

H.E. Mr. Ahmed Sule, High Commissioner of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to India, graced us with his presence and addressed the students and alumni.

H.E. Mr. Ahmed Sule encouraged the students not to give up and to keep pushing themselves to achieve high levels of success.

Following the dignitaries' speeches, graduating students made a pledge to use their knowledge to help the nation on its path to becoming an inclusive and sustainable society.

Mr. Jayant Krishna, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Foundation for Advancing Science and Technology, and Mr. Ravi Bhatt, an internationally acclaimed historian of Awadh, India, both received Doctor of Letters (Honoris Causa) Degree of D. Lit.from the University.

Madhurima Gupta (M.tech (Electronic circuits and systems) and Fariha Fatima (B.tech Computer Science & Engineering) were the University's top scorers. The total number of degrees conferred was 3095, including 33 PhDs, 628 PGs, 2218 UGs (including 42 MBBS students), Top performers in all departments received 73 Gold and 72 Silver medals.

Prof. S.W. Akhtar, the Hon'ble Chancellor and Founder of Integral University took the stage to congratulate and praise the students, stating that Convocation Day is a special day. It heralds a new era of harmony and peace in the midst of diversity.

Dr. Syed Nadeem Akhtar, Hon'ble Pro-Chancellor of Integral University, addressed the audience and described the university's growth, expressing his delight at seeing the students' dedication and hard work. He inspired the students to have a bright future.

The event concluded with a ray of hope and joy that will no doubt inspire Integral University students and faculty in the coming years.

Prof. (Dr.) Mohd Haris Siddiqui, Registrar of Integral University, gave the vote of thanks and thanked all staff, students, a media panel, and governing bodies for always being a good support system.

Throughout the program, students, families, faculty, and staff at the University felt a sense of accomplishment and pride. Hon'ble Prof. S. W. Akhtar, Chancellor of the University, declared the ceremony closed.

The Instructional Farm (Unit-6), Nadep, Azolla and Vermicompost units of the Integral Institute Agricultural Science and Technology was inaugurated by Padma Bhushan Dr. Rajendra Singh Paroda, Chairman of TAAS, New Delhi and H.E. Mr. Ahmed Sule, High Commissioner of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to India in the gracious presence of Prof. S.W. Akhtar on the momentous occasions of the XIII Convocation.
